The Institute regularly participates in student mentoring activities,
which include guest presentations to design studios and the
facilitation of hospital tours.  We have worked with Converse
College and Savannah College of Art & Design to develop content
for interior design studios at both Institutions.  Our staff and
volunteers have worked closely with faculty and students to provide
the subject matter for the studio projects, and to contribute valuable
feedback as reviewers scoring midterm and final projects.

We recently collaborated with the 2012 AIA Student Design
Charrette Committee to assist in the content development of its
program for the 2012 HEALTHCARE DESIGN Conference.  We
facilitated a tour of our Patient Empowered Room, presenting the
principles of patient-centered design to students representing major
design schools in the country with a special concentration in
healthcare design.
